Dana’s Yoga Philosophy courses have been one of the most meaningful educational experiences in my yoga journey. All four courses were exceptionally well structured, clear, and thoughtfully organized. I especially appreciated how Dana consistently placed each text in its historical and cultural context, helping us understand not only the teachings themselves, but also where and when they emerged. What stood out most to me was her ability to make profound and sometimes complex material feel accessible without oversimplifying it. The classes felt rigorous, yet welcoming and engaging throughout. I also deeply enjoyed the meditation and chanting components, which brought the philosophical teachings into lived experience in a very grounded way. After completing these courses, I feel much more empowered and inspired to continue studying yoga philosophy on my own, thanks to the strong foundation Dana provided.

Dana is the perfect balance between being extremely organized and prepared for each of her lectures while also making space for genuine questions and reflections to emerge spontaneously from each of her students. I’ve been a student of yoga for over two decades and found her explanations of the seminal yogic texts to be refreshing, clear, and relevant to today’s world.

As a yoga instructor seeking to deepen my personal practice while strengthening the quality of my teaching, I found Dana’s Yoga Philosophy course to be engaging, informative, and deeply rewarding on both personal and professional levels. Dana presented the vast and intricate yogic texts with clarity and warmth, making complex ideas feel easy to connect with. I especially appreciated how class discussions connected traditional teachings to modern experiences, allowing the material to feel both relevant and transformative. This course broadened my understanding of yoga philosophy, but also the way I relate to myself, my students, and the world around me.

Dana is the best yoga teacher I’ve ever had. After stops and starts with yoga in college and adult life, she is finally the reason I stuck with it … and got both my mom and husband hooked. Dana meets you at your level and then gradually pushes you to do things you didn’t realize you could do. My husband has two injuries from car accidents and she made adjustments so that he could still practice and benefit from the sessions. She’s also great about explaining what’s happening to your body as you go through different positions – this way, you actually understand how the breath, muscles and blood flow are all working. But she’s not one of those teachers who talks all through practice and leaves you wishing for quiet – she finds just the right balance. I really cannot recommend her highly enough – if you’re contemplating yoga, know that a good teacher makes all the difference. And that teacher is Dana!

Dana has been my private Pilates instructor for the last three years. She’s an extremely loving and beautiful teacher both inside and out. She challenges, motivates and her worldly knowledge about the health and fitness industry is very moving. She’s very passionate about her teachings and the fitness industry benefits tremendously by inspired professionals like Dana. I am proud to have Dana as my Pilates instructor.

I’ve been going to Dana for weekly personal Pilates instruction for years now. I look forward to our sessions every week, which is not something I can say about all aspects of my exercise regimen! Dana always comes prepared with a diverse and evolving set of exercises that are tailored to my specific needs, never feel monotonous, and are persistently challenging without being intimidating. Since she knows I also do yoga (and has instructed both myself and my husband in yoga as well!), Dana fits a degree of yoga instruction into our sessions, which I appreciate. Most of all, she is a delightful person to spend time with — encouraging, non-judgmental, relatable and cheerful.

Dana has been my private yoga instructor for two years. Prior to working with Dana I had a beginner’s experience with yoga. Now, two years later, I am hooked and absolutely in love with Ashtanga yoga! Dana’s approach is very caring, encouraging and rooted in true expertise. Dana is the real deal. I admire her dedication to yoga which results in her traveling to India annually to deepen her own practice . Emotionally and physically I am in the best shape of my life – all thanks to Dana…
